VIENNA, VA - 10/04/2018 — Thomas Jefferson Foundation, which owns and operates Monticello in Charlottesville, Virginia, has recently signed a 3-year contract with US Resources (USR) which aims to improve information security and network management infrastructure, while assuring 24x7 maintenance and support.
In 1987, Monticello was inscribed to UNESCO’s World Heritage List, selected because it “represents a masterpiece of human creative genius.” Today, Monticello welcomes more than 440,000 visitors on site, and more than 3 million unique users online annually. Monticello’s Robert H. Smith International Center for Jefferson Studies is the leading research institute on Thomas Jefferson’s life, world and legacy. Monticello is open to the public every day except Christmas, and its IT infrastructure supports a ticketing, retail operations, security, wireless access, and advanced operations for over 350 employees.
