Dr. Wright graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Davidson College, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa in 1988. He received his Medical Degree in 1992 from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine at Chapel Hill. Dr. Wright completed an internship and his residency in Anesthesiology at Georgetown University, where he was elected Chief Resident.
After serving as Instructor and Assistant Professor at University of Tennessee in Memphis, Dr. Wright was on staff at HCA West Florida Regional Medical Center in Pensacola for 12 years, serving as anesthesia chairman as well as chair of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. During this time. Dr. Wright also served as Medical Director of the West Florida Ambulatory Surgery Center.
To stay abreast of the latest developments in his field, Dr. Wright maintains memberships with the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the Florida Society of Anesthesiology. He attributes his success to his hard work, respect for patients and peers, and family support. When he is not assisting his patients, Dr. Wright enjoys traveling, genealogy, gardening, and real estate.
