Santa Fe Springs, CA - 10/05/2021 — Echo Point® by Cosasco, is a non-intrusive metal loss monitoring instrument for critical assets. This break-through technology has incredible accuracy with three times the sensitivity of similar products to measure wall thickness and internal internal pitting. It has the capability to operate under ultra-high temperature ranges and utilizes the industry standard wirelessHART technology. Data can be seamlessly integrated into existing plant infrastructure, systems and dashboards in real-time with Cosasco’s Data Online management system. Echo Point is available in three different transducer models which can measure down to 0.040” (1.0 mm) with a thickness resolution of 0.001” (0.025 mm) over temperature ranges of -40° F to 932° F (-40° C to 500° C).
The sensor attaches easily to an asset’s outer surface with clamps or a magnetic base and can measure through surface coatings in many applications. Echo Point is a hazardous-location certified instrument and rated for Class I, Div. I, Zone 0 atmospheres typically associated with Oil & Gas applications. An embedded temperature sensor in the tip of the product enables temperature measurement and its algorithmic correction of the wall-thickness data. Cosasco Data Online supports back-end communication via Modbus TCP/IP or Modbus RTU to DCS and SCADA systems.
