Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States - 07/13/2021 — BRATZ FOUNDATION EMPOWERS FAMILIES AND CHILDREN THROUGH OUTREACH SERVICES
The Bratz Foundation of South Florida, Inc. is pleased to announce our recently obtained 501(C)(3) nonprofit status to help us reach our goals of lifting up the low income and homeless population of South Florida. Our nonprofit organization exists to provide meals, clothing, and supportive services to low income and homeless families in the South Florida community, focusing its efforts on Opa Locka, Liberty City, Overtown, and Miami Gardens. Through partnerships with local community centers, we will host food drives and disburse clothing donations on a monthly basis.
Bratz Foundation’s goal is to create a healthier, stronger community in South Florida by helping those most overlooked and in need, including children. Youth empowerment groups will be held online weekly (due to COVID restrictions), in addition to our summer program. A toy drive will be held, and any monetary donations will be used to start a fund to provide wigs to those affected locally by cancer.
“We want to provide education and tutoring resources to urban and inner-city youth,” says President, Shevelle Barnes. “We want to provide a restorative justice program to give trouble youth and adults a second chance.”
We invite the South Florida community to celebrate our 501(C)(3) status obtained by the IRS with the help of our nonprofit administrative partner BryteBridge Nonprofit Solutions. We are excited to embark on this journey for our community.
