Southern California — Vascular Neurology of Southern California is proud to announce the arrival of Adult & Pediatric neurologist Dr. Lorne Label to their team. Dr. Label brings many valuable years of training and experience in neurological medicine to the Southern California community and will be an outstanding complement to the already robust VNSC team.
Having served the Conejo Valley for over 38 years, Dr. Label brings an impressive record of achievements to the table. He has been an attending physician at the Los Robles Regional Hospital & Medical Center (LRH) since 1983, held numerous leadership positions in the community, including past Chief of Staff at LRH, and has served as a board member of several non-profit organizations. Dr. Label brings the same level of dedication, excellence, and standards to each of his patients as he did during his education and training.
Dr. Label has also demonstrated his neurology expertise by contributing to numerous publications, books, and presentations in the neurological community. His areas of expertise include headaches, dementia, nerve and muscle disease, head injuries, attention deficit disorder, seizures, and strokes.
Dr. Label’s Education & Training
Dr. Label received his Bachelor of Arts with high honors at the University of Texas at Austin. After a year of graduate school at the University of Texas at Austin, where he researched and taught neurobiology, he graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and went on to complete his studies in Internal Medicine and Neurology at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
His residency was followed by a Clinical Neuromuscular Fellowship at the USC Neuromuscular Center. Dr. Label was promoted to Clinical Professor of Neurology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA in 2010 and has served as a teaching physician at the UCLA Neurology Resident Clinic. He obtained a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management in 1998 from California Lutheran University.
