DALLAS, TX - 07/14/2017 — According to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) millions of adults in the United States have untreated mental health conditions. Performance Mindset Institute’s Latrice McNeal is offering a limited number of complimentary presentations to bring awareness to this issue. In an effort to empower people in underserved communities, the speaking engagements coincide with July being Minority Mental Health Awareness Month.
“We are not embarrassed to talk about going to the doctor for a check-up or the dentist for a cleaning, we have to stop being ashamed to discuss our mental health. We all deal with life stressors on a daily basis and we can’t perform at our highest level in our life, career, or relationships without addressing mental wellness.” States Latrice McNeal, founder of the Performance Mindset Institute, about her stance on the change in public thinking needed concerning mental health.
Topics available will include “Purpose Power and Prevention” which will teach strategies to reduce stress and burn out while improving and promoting mental well-being and life fulfillment. “Breaking the Chains” is a workshop specifically designed to addresses the stigma of mental illness in churches and other religious communities.
Attendees will learn practical tips to improve their own mental wellness and to increase their ability to help others in need of mental health support.
These special topics are available from July 1st to August 15th, 2017.
