Michael "Mike" Miller Named as New CEO of APE Companies, LLC
PASADENA, TX - 04/20/2018 — APE Companies LLC, along with its subsidiaries Abrasive Products &
Equipment LLC, BKW Environmental LLC, and Corrosion Specialties Inc. (together, “APE”), announces the
appointment of Michael (“Mike”) D. Miller as their new CEO to replace outgoing CEO, Kevin Willis. The
change is effective on Monday, April 16, 2018.
Mike Miller brings three decades of experience with leading multi-nationals such as BP, Castrol, PepsiCo, and
Ford. His most recent role was as CEO of Western Marketing, Inc., a Texas-based petroleum distributor of
branded lubricants and diesel exhaust fluid operating in seven states. Under his leadership the company earned
Chevron’s Eagle Award, its highest honor for their distributors, in three consecutive years.
Previously, he was president and chief operating officer of Blue Sun Energy, a manufacturer and marketer of
branded fuels in the Rocky Mountains and Pacific Northwest. Before joining Blue Sun, he spent a decade
overseas leading large, cross-functional petroleum teams in complex cultures and demanding environments.
Mr. Miller holds a M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Business Administration from
Northeastern University. He has already relocated to the Houston area where he will work out of APE’s
corporate offices in Pasadena, TX. Mike is a passionate fly fisherman who has fished extensively on three
continents and enjoys preparing a variety of ethnic cuisines for family, friends, and colleagues.
