MIAMI WOMEN WHO ROCK ANNOUNCES the first ever “Woman Making History” Award that will be presented to the Honorable Madam Mayor Daniella Levine Cava at the 2021 “Pink Garden RockStar Awards Luncheon” on April 30th.

A Portion of Proceeds will Benefit Kristi House-­? Project Gold.

Miami, Florida -­?-­?-­? March 31, 2021, -­?-­?-­? Miami Women Who Rock (MWWR) will host the 7th annual “RockStar Awards Luncheon” in honor of “Women’s History Month” on Friday, April 30th, 11:30 am at the Biltmore Hotel. Miami Women Who Rock is a network of women and business over 4000 strong, who believe in giving back and support health-­?related initiatives. MWWR is proud to honor Mayor Daniella Levine Cava as the first recipient of the “Women Making History” Award.

“We are so proud of our Founders Circle Members like Marile Lopez who help MWWR continue the legacy of honoring women in our community. We are grateful to the Marile & Jorge Luis Lopez Family Foundation for sponsoring this “Women Making History” Award”, said Emily Zubi-­? Founder of Miami Women Who Rock.

“We congratulate Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, the first ever woman elected Mayor of Miami-­? Dade County-­?the most diverse and populous county in Florida and the seventh-­?most populous county in the United States. Daniella is a loving mother, devoted spouse, social worker, lawyer and community activist.  Daniella enters the Mayor’s office following a nearly 40-­?year career as a relentless advocate for South Florida families in public service and elected leadership”, said Marile Lopez.

The event will honor 8 exceptional and diverse women for their strength, resilience, compassion and commitment to their families and the Miami community. A portion of proceeds from the event will benefit Krist House-­?Project Gold.  Since 2007, Kristi House-­?Project Gold, which stands for Girls Owning their Lives and Dreams, has brought the legal and provider community together to combat child sex trafficking. Project Gold Program Director Marta Hasty is one of the RockStar Award Honorees.

MWWR was established in 2007 by Emily Zubi, a Miami businesswoman, who built a thriving career in international business and leadership development. She created MWWR to serve as a platform to help other women succeed in business, as well as to honor women who are making a difference in the community. "We have evolved tremendously since our first awards event in 2008 and are thrilled to introduce several new categories this year ranging from the “Woman Making History” Award to the “Healthcare Hero” Award, said Zubi.
