Lucky 13 Productions and Dylan Flashner 2020/2021 Film Achievements
United States, California, Los Angeles - 05/11/2021 — Los Angeles based production company Lucky 13 Productions continues to celebrate 2021 with the award-winning film THE COMEBACK TRAIL directed by George Gallo and starring Academy Award winning actors Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman, Golden Globe nominated actor Zach Braff and Emile Hirsch among others. The film, which recently received the “2021 La, Italia – Excellence Award” at the Los Angeles, Italia Film Fashion and Art Fest recently opened the 35th Fort Lauderdale Film Festival. Lucky 13 Productions has had plenty successes with film festivals, currently excited to have their film ASKING FOR IT in the upcoming Tribeca Film Festival. The festival, which has been rebranded as Tribeca at Home in response to the Covid-19 festival features Vanessa Hudgens, Ezra Miller, Luke Hemsworth and rising star Dylan Flashner. The film features a sexually abused waitress who connects with an all-femme gang as they fight a misogynistic society that has wronged them. The film also stars Gabourey Sidibe, Kiersey Clemons and Leslie Stratton.
George Gallo of THE COMEBACK TRAIL is no stranger to working with Morgan Freeman and Dylan Flashner who also recently directed the action-thriller VANQUISH which stars Ruby Rose as a single mother who is forced to do the bidding of a retired cop played by Morgan Freeman.
This past year, Lucky 13 Productions also has success in FAREWELL AMOR, an IFC film that currently holds a perfect rating of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes and rated positively by 30+ film critics available on streaming platforms including Amazon Prime, Google Play and Vudu. FAREWELL AMOR, was received with positive reviews at Sundance and is an immigrant story and drama that follows an Angolan immigrant as he is reunited with his wife and daughter after 17 years. Actors Marcus Scribner (“Black-ish”), Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine (“The Chi”) and Zainab Jah (“Deep State”) star in the film, which follows the family, now essential strangers, sharing a one-bedroom apartment as they discover a shared love of dance that may help them overcome the distance between them.
ASKING FOR IT, VANQUISH, and FAREWLL AMOR all-stars Dylan Flashner, actor and musician who recently shot other projects including, SURVIVE THE NIGHT, THE CARD COUNTER, LANSKY and TV pilot THE ONE TIME. While acting and producing are keeping Dylan busy in the entertainment industry, his career as a performer was first influenced by his love of music. In releasing his own music, Dylan was first introduced to the world of acting when a producer on-set of a music video of his own, suggested he get into television. The producer later sent him a script that happened to be centered around a character coincidently named “Dylan,” which let to him add “acting” to his resume.

It’s been 17 years since Walter was forced to leave his family in Angola. Now he is picking up his wife, Esther, and daughter, Sylvia, from the airport to bring them home to his one-bedroom Brooklyn apartment. The reunion isn’t seamless. Walter cooks a welcome dinner, and Esther wonders who taught him how to cook. Before they eat, Esther says grace, revealing her thunderous new passion for Jesus. And later, Walter realizes that he has not moved on from Linda, his lover who moved out of his apartment to make way for the family. When young Sylvia starts to explore the city and takes part in a dance competition, she unexpectedly opens up a pathway of muscle memory for the family to rediscover one another.

Born in Boston, MA to Craig and Jeanie, Dylan comes from a loving family that has supported him and his move to Los Angeles. Through his music and performances, he hopes to have a positive impact on his audience. Dylan also works closely with charities such as The American Cancer Society and the Luke Strong Foundation. His family is also on the board of the MS Society as his mother is diagnosed with MS; something she has lived with for a long time. He also enjoys sports and spending time with family and friends during his free time.
