In attendance was Florida Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nuñez, the Mayor of the City of Doral Juan Carlos Bermudez, and Commissioner from the Miami Dade County District 12 Jose “Pepe” Diaz, members of the CTP team, family, business partners and friends. CTP executives marked the beginning of the construction with a groundbreaking ceremony at the future building site.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be here today, sharing with you a very special moment in our lives, celebrating the official commencement of a once distant and seemingly unattainable dream. This a major step that will change the future and direction of our family company, and a big step to our next level of performance” said CTP’s Vice President Mrs. Teresa Uribe at the ceremony. “To us, this is not just a big building that we need for space. It’s a place where we will be able to increase our manufacturing range, proudly making our family of heavy equipment parts right here in the USA. A place that will allow us to focus on our efficiency, and a place where our customers can come to learn, exchange ideas, and grow their own business. It will be a place where our people can relax, play, learn and develop. But it’s incredibly satisfying that we are also bringing new jobs and new opportunities to our home community here in sunny Miami.”

“I’m proud that I could be here with the Uribe Family, the CTP business officers, and the community leaders celebrating this historic moment for this company and all it represents here in our community” said Lieutenant Governor of Florida Jeanette Nuñez. The Commissioner from the Miami Dade County District 12 Jose “Pepe” Diaz also joined the Lieutenant Governor in congratulating the Uribe family and made an emphasis on how the growth of this type of business will help drive our local economy and how critical it is for the future of South Florida.

Aside from government officials, local business leaders and financial institutions also joined the ceremony to express their support and congratulate the Uribe family. “Today Costex has the power to change the landscape at where we stand by being an economic driver in Miami and impacting the lives of their employees and those they will hire”, said George Bermudez, Senior Vice president at Bank of America.

Mr. Guillermo Fernandez, president of Link Construction Group, the construction company in charge of the project, said “This project means the world to us, so we thank the Uribe family for trusting us to build this state-of-the-art facility.” He added, “18 months from now we will have the ribbon cutting. We have a commitment to get it done. We have a great team working with us and we’re very much looking forward to completing this once in a lifetime project.”
