Hartford senior living provider gets high-tech with visitation
United States, Connecticut, Hartford - 03/17/2021 — After being closed to visitors for more than a year, assisted living and memory care communities across the state are finally opening for scheduled visitation with family and friends. One local senior living company, The Hearth at Glastonbury, is tackling safe visitation head-on through a partnership with Cubigo, a company specializing in visitor screening and documentation.
“We’re beyond excited to reopen to family and friends,” said Jonathan Barbieri, Hearth Management’s Sr. Vice President. “It’s our obligation to help keep our residents and team members safe and our buildings COVID-free, so finding a safe, efficient way to open to visitors was an absolute must.”
The Cubigo kiosks, which can be found in every Hearth community nationwide, screen visitors upon entry through a short series of attestation questions. They also take temperatures, display community visitation rules, and record visitor’s information for contract tracing purposes. Any guest or team member who fails the temperature screening, or inadequately responds to the attestation questions is denied entry.
“By integrating Cubigo into our reopening plans, we’ve found an efficient, reliable way to go above and beyond every state’s requirements,” added Barbieri. “It’s one thing to reopen, after a full year of lock down, but it’s another to do so quickly, efficiently, and safely. I’m very proud to say we’ve accomplished the later.”
