Gooden Center Completes Successful Mental Health Program
PASADENA,CA - 03/07/2017 — After recently launching a new mental health program at their facility, the Gooden Center has successfully treated its first group of patients. The treatment center has been involved in addiction recovery since 1962 when it opened its doors but its stand-alone mental health program is a recent addition to their mission for the community. Their services for mental health include a number of different treatment options for any psychological issues that may be present in an individual, even for those with no history of substance abuse. The Gooden Center has an expert team that is highly skilled and trained specifically for treating disorders like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and a number of other issues. With intensive treatment and individualized care, the mental health staff were able to help the program’s first group of patients achieve a successful recovery.
Patients at the Gooden Center can either choose residential care which allows them to live in the facility for a longer period of time, partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient treatment which gives them the ability to live at home while seeing a regular therapist and participating in other treatment activities. Regardless of what treatment plan they chose, each patient in the program was able to improve and manage the symptoms of their mental illness. The program is designed to help stabilize each patient’s mood and teach them valuable skills that can minimize their symptoms even after they complete treatment. The patients in the program were able to use the individualized care provided by the Gooden Center to their advantage so that they could return to their daily lives with more confidence.
