Dr. Khalife’s career in medicine began in 1999, when he graduated with his Medical Degree from the Lebanese University School of Medicine. After medical school, Dr. Khalife completed his residency at University of South Dakota School of Medicine for Internal Medicine, 2002 – 2005. He went on to complete a Heart Failure/Transplant Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Heart, 2005-2006; and a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at the University Of Texas Medical Branch Hospital, 2006 - 2009. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) for Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology; He is also certified by the Nuclear Cardiography Board as well as the National Board of Echocardiography.
To stay abreast of the latest medical developments in his field, Dr. Khalife holds professional memberships with the American College of Cardiology (ACC), the International Society for Heart & Lung Transplant (ISHLT), The American Society of Echocardiography (ASE), and the Heart Failure Society of America (HFSA). He is an accomplished physician with more than 100 authored and co-authored research publications, abstracts and posters.
