E2G|THE EQUITY ENGINEERING GROUP, INC. LAUNCHES FITNESS-FOR-SERVICE (FFS) PRODUCT DELIVERED ON THE EQUITY ENGINEERING CLOUD (EEC), ENHANCING ITS CURRENT OFFERING OF TOOLS FOR ENGINEERS AND INSPECTORS
CLEVELAND, OH - 04/11/2018 — E2G|The Equity Engineering Group, Inc. (E2G) has developed the Equity Engineering Cloud (EEC) to house tools that perform complex calculations and expert analysis in accordance with the latest industry codes and standards, leveraging the convenience and accessibility afforded by the cloud. The general capabilities of the EEC platform were designed to anticipate user needs and provide unique features, including:
- An Opportunity to Provide Feedback throughout the process. Users may send feedback, ask questions, provide general comments, and recommend enhancements.
- An Intuitive/Concise User-Interface that leverages years of ongoing customer feedback. The user interface is organized in an intuitive concise manner that aligns with the user’s expectations. Each tool maintains a consistent step-based workflow design. The most important and meaningful results are presented first, with additional results available at the click of a button.
- Pre-Populated Examples in each WebTool, including a catalogue to demonstrate typical-use cases and highlight specific capabilities.
- Save/Load Cases to allow the user to save on their local hard drive. In addition, files from previous assessments can be loaded to automatically populate all fields.
- PDF Reports that are printable or downloadable. The PDF report is generated with each assessment and contains all inputs necessary to reproduce the calculation, and all primary and intermediate results.
- US/SI Units compatibility. Each WebTool is compatible with both imperial (US Customary) unit and metric (SI) systems.
- Access to E2G’s Extensive Material Database with coverage of the most popular construction codes (i.e., ASME Section I, VIII-1, VIII-2, B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, and B31.8).
- Excel Compatibility to allow tabular input data to be entered directly or copy-and-pasted from Excel.
- Built-in Data Validation Logic Checks in the input fields so that users are alerted of out-of-bounds conditions that may lead to misleading results or errors.
- Information Buttons to direct users to additional information for input fields that warrant a more thorough explanation.
- Instructional Videos to provide additional guidance.
- Extensive verification of software and quality management per ISO 9001.
The latest product to launch is API 579/ASME FFS for the Web. This product debuts this week with tools that address the 14 parts of API 579-1/ASME FFS-1. E2G’s engineers pioneered the advancement of Fitness-for-Service (FFS) technologies and were the lead investigators of the international standard API 579-1/ASME FFS-1 (API 579). “Given our unique position of being involved in the creation of and continuous improvement to the standard, we identified an opportunity to provide an intuitive solution verified by practicing engineers in a secure environment for industries in addition to petrochemical, including pulp & paper, fossil utility, food processing, and non-commercial nuclear. The FFS product provides an efficient delivery system with a user-friendly interface to enable engineers and inspectors to make effective decisions to keep facilities safe and operating at maximum capacity,” said David A. API 579-1/ASME FFS-1 Expert Package, which includes all tools from the Professional Package and additional advanced capabilities for performing Level 3 analysis for Part 3 Brittle Fracture and Part 14 Fatigue.
