At the Edge of the Grand Canyon: A Destination Oil-Painting Adventure and Art Retreat
OLD TOWN SPRING, TX - 08/03/2016 — Sedona Joe’s Picture Framers and Gallery of Old Town Spring, Texas, announces a special winter Grand Canyon art experience for all oil painters. The Grand Canyon Winter Art Workshop will be hosted at the Grand Canyon, South Rim, February 12-18, 2017.
Noted and celebrated Canyon artist, Paula Swain, will lead a small group of participants on a weeklong art experience exploring topics such as composition, sketching, techniques, and color. “Grand Canyon in winter is spectacular” stated Swain “This is a unique opportunity for those who want a different perspective of Grand Canyon and inspiration from the changing canyon colors that come with the winter season.”
Workshop sessions have been artfully designed for all skill levels from beginners to experienced artists. Paula will share her unique vision of creating extraordinary landscape paintings. The setting of the South Rim of the Grand Canyon is highlighted by exceptional vistas, Ponderosa Pines, Pinyon Pines, and Juniper trees. Participants will have opportunities for Plein Air sessions at the Canyon’s edge, photography, and art inspiring, scenic walks or hiking on walkways and trails with one-of-kind views.
